Singer/songwriter Noah Kahan will perform at the 2023 Dominion Energy Charity Classic on Friday, October 20 following the first round of competition at The Country Club of Virginia, James River Course, it was announced recently. Tickets for the tournament and concert went on sale this week.

The Vermont singer pens songs straight from the heart and cracks jokes with his signature, self-deprecating sense of humor. “Dial Drunk” is the latest single from Kahan and featured on his new album Stick Season (We’ll All Be Here Forever), an extension of 2022’s Gold-Certified Stick Season and his most successful offering to date. Stick Season (We’ll All Be Here Forever) debuted at #3 on Billboard 200 Chart, #1 on Billboard Top Alternative Albums Chart, #1 on Billboard Top Rock Albums Chart and #1 on Top Americana/Folk Albums Chart. Kahan became the fifth artist in history with 18 songs on Billboard Hot Rock & Alternative Charts in one week, alongside David Bowie and Taylor Swift. Stick Season has also landed in the Top 20 on the UK Albums Chart.

Previous albums include Busyhead (2019) and I Was / I Am (2021). Kahan has racked up over two billion streams, received a Platinum Certification for his hit single “Stick Season,” and collaborated with the likes of Post Malone, Joy Oladokun, and GRAMMY-nominated artists Julia Michaels and Wesley Schulz of The Lumineers.

“We are excited to welcome Noah and his brand of music to Henrico County and greater Richmond at this year’s Dominion Energy Charity Classic,” said Steve Schoenfeld, Executive Director of the tournament. “This year we expect to raise the bar even higher with the concert, while continuing to make a positive impact on the community through charitable giving from the tournament.”

Past tournament concerts include Chase Rice in 2019, Chris Lane with special guest Kylie Morgan in 2021 and Lauren Alaina in 2022.

All ticket holders for Friday’s competition round receive admission to the concert. The show will follow the Military Appreciation Ceremony presented by Strata Clean Energy, which begins at 5:15 p.m. The ceremony and the concert will take place in the Fan Zone presented by the Henrico Sports & Entertainment Authority. Tickets can be purchased at www.deccgolf.com.

The Dominion Energy Charity Classic includes three competition rounds, scheduled for October 20-22 at The Country Club of Virginia, James River Course. This is the tournament’s eighth year after its debut in 2016. Tournament week also includes the Tom Farrell Memorial Pro-Am, re-named in honor of the late Dominion Energy CEO who was the driving force behind the Richmond PGA TOUR Champions event. Markel has served as Presenting Sponsor of the Pro-Am since 2018. Since the tournament’s debut, the event has helped generate over $9.3 million for charities in the Richmond region.
